Will Samsung work with IMAX for the production of large format sensors?

According to one of our best sources (by the way Thanks!) Samsung created the first image sensor for the digital IMAX camera! Yes IMAX is the Canadian company behind the IMAX technology ![]()
It is a digital back for IMAX cameras. As you know current IMAX film size is 70×48.5mm and that size sensor would open the door for a real IMAX HD movies!
For the record, that sensor would be bigger than any medium format sesnor used today! Cool or not? The bad news is that the price will be to high for 99,8% of our readers

this gives me hope that the next samsung cameras might have better or equal video capabilities compared the panasonic (gh2) bug at a lower price (both camera and lenses)
lets hope samsung will not cripple the firmware of the upcoming nx20/nx200 and give as various framerates and a great codec!
